Western NY Hog Preview Classic Announces Winners

HAMBURG, N.Y. — The Erie County Agricultural Society would like to congratulate the winners of the 14th annual Western New York Hog Preview Classic.

The grand champion hog went to Ashley Winkelvoss of Washington, Pa. Reserve grand champion hog went to the David Knoll family of Hamburg, N.Y. Honorable mention hog went to Dakota Wilson of Smithfield, Pa.

Grand champion showman was awarded to Brendan Knoll of Hamburg, N.Y. Reserve champion showman was awarded to Emily Mattocks of Guys Mills, Pa.

The judge was Russell Pedrett of Colusa, Calif.

Erie County Agricultural Society, Hamburg Gaming, Shamel Milling and Show-Rite Feeds were proud to be presenting sponsors of a show that gave more than $5,000 in premiums and prizes. A total of 118 exhibitors with 201 hogs came to the Fairgrounds, including exhibitors from all over New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Tennessee, to get a preseason experience prior to showing at their county and state fairs.
