Lancaster 4-H Clubs Announce Winners

The Lancaster County 4-H Livestock Clubs held their county round up at the West Lampeter Fair Grounds July 26-28.

Judge Sarah Doyle started off the three day event by judging the sheep show. Grand champion ewe and ram and well as champion showman was awarded to Jade Zimmerman. Atalie Winters showed the champion market lamb and Katrina Reiff showed the reserved champion market lamb and was also named reserved champion showman. Nate Binkley was chosen best breed and owned market lamb.

Friday, July 27, the market hog and goats were shown. Klye Fleened judged the market hog show, where Ben Welk was named grand champion and Justin Welk was named Reserve grand champion and champion showman. Jade Zimmerman was awarded the reserve champion showman award.

Mike Woods judged the goat show Friday evening. Holly Cunningham was awarded champion doe, Atalie Winters was named grand and reserve champion market goat, and showman winners were Jayme Zimmerman, champion and Janelle Geib, reserve.

On Saturday, John Hausner judge the beef and dairy beef show. Justin Welk was named grand champion steer. Freddy Frey received reserve champion steer and champion heifer. Matt Mitchell was awarded reserve champion heifer and champion showman. Brianna Hess was named the reserve champion showman.

In the dairy beef show Hunter Bruckhart was chosen as champion, Abby Reiff was named reserve champion dairy beef and reserve champion showman. Jaralyn Zimmerman was awarded the champion showman award.
