Md. Princess Dairy Diary: Fall Fun

10/31/2013 7:10 AM

The fall starts off another busy schedule for me as Maryland Dairy Princess. I will be attending many different farm-related meetings and banquets as well as farm fall festivals. I love going to banquets and giving milk toasts to the people who help provide nature's most nearly perfect beverage, milk.

I also enjoy going to farm festivals and seeing children and their families interact with different animals and learn about different aspects of agriculture. I know that as my reign continues, I will meet and interact with people who either have a strong passion for agriculture or people who want to learn more about this wonderful industry.

Remember to get your 3-Every-Day of dairy and try this fabulous dairy recipe. Enjoy!

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
paprika, for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese, crabmeat, lemon juice, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Transfer to a shallow 9x13-inch baking dish. Garnish with paprika. Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
