FAIRPLAY, Colo. (AP) — The manager of a ranch near Bailey has been found not guilty of animal cruelty after his horses were seized by authorities.

Ron Swift, who managed the Echo Valley ranch east of Bailey, was charged last year with four counts of animal cruelty.

The Park County Sheriff's Office says it got a complaint that a horse had died at the Echo Valley Ranch. The cause of death was listed as an infection that required veterinary care. Six horses on the ranch and one in Routt County were removed by the sheriff's office.

According to KMGH-TV (http://tinyurl.com/af9gjyy ), authorities said the owners should have called a veterinarian.
