North Dakota State Fair gets underway this week

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota State Fair gets underway in Minot later this week.

Entertainment starts Friday night, with a concert by country music superstar Tim McGraw. The first rock concert at the grandstand is Saturday night, when Journey performs.

The State Fair Parade is Saturday morning. Minot native and Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel is scheduled to be the grand marshal.

Other grandstand acts this year include country singers Scotty McCreery and Toby Keith, and rockers Creedence Clearwater Revisited. They're scheduled to close out the fair on July 27.
