NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed $3.00 to $3.60 a bale lower Monday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton declined 72 cents to 57.44 cents per pound Monday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
