NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed $1.35 cents a bale lower to $1.85 higher Monday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton declined 2 cents to 64.34 cents per pound Monday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.

Will the U.S. cattle industry be able to sustain the current high prices for beef?
