HARRINGTON, Del. (AP) — Attendance at the Delaware State fair was up more than 25 percent this year.

WDEL-AM (http://bit.ly/1nRJI9t ) reports nearly 282,000 people attended the fair over its 10-day run.

General Manager Bill DiMondi says the fair in Harrington got a boost from almost ideal weather conditions on most of the days and nights.

Two of the headline concerts were sold out, and one was a near-sellout.

The midway carnival grossed more than $1 million. That's up 18 percent from 2013.
