AgBiz Professionals Workshops Scheduled

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — AgBiz Professionals is a learning series that focuses on business management skills for established farmers.

Its workshops take a hands-on approach, helping agricultural business owners and operators learn and apply concepts to their individual farm operations. The program is conducted in live seminar format with multiple locations linked by videoconference.

Upcoming workshops, all set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m., include:

Farm & Family Transitions —Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Managing People in Agriculture — Thursday, Feb. 21.

Financial Leadership — Monday, March 11.

Profit Protection Series — Friday, Feb. 15, and Thursday, Feb. 28 (plus an additional local follow-up session the week of March 18).

Workshop locations will include AgChoice Farm Credit offices in Chambersburg, Curryville, Lewisburg, Lewistown, Meadville, New Stanton, Towanda and York, and the Penn State Extension office in Lancaster.

Cost is $75 per workshop, except the new Profit Protection Series, which is $75 for all three workshops. Registration covers up to two people from the same farm business and closes 10 days prior to each workshop.
