Schuylkill Conservation Plans Manure Workshops

The Schuylkill Conservation District along with NRCS and Penn State Extension will offer a series of workshops on manure management regulations at the Schuylkill County Ag Center,1206 Ag Center Drive, Pottsville.

The first workshop will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, and will be geared toward small animals, horses and exotic’ animals such as llamas, alpacas, deer, emu and rhea.

The remaining two workshops will be geared toward the larger farming operations that raise livestock or import and spread manure. They will be held on 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, and 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 7.

The workshops are free but pre-registration is necessary so the district can give people the list of information they will need to complete their plans.
