Penn State Extension and the Solanco Young Farmer program will hold pesticide meetings 9:30 a.m.-noon and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Hoffman Building in Quarryville.
Both meetings will offer “2 + 2” pesticide points.
The morning pesticide training will feature Andrew Frankenfield, Extension agronomy educator in Montgomery County, whose talks are titled “Selecting Cover Crop Friendly Herbicides” and “Water Quality Effects on Herbicide Performance.”
Jeff Graybill, Extension agronomy educator in Lancaster County, will present “Farm Families and Pesticide Exposure.”

Local farm businesses will be on hand to answer questions. A charge of $5 will be collected at the door to cover expenses and handouts. Reservations are not required.
