Meeting to Spotlight Supplemental Minerals for Cattle

An informational meeting, targeting the importance of minerals for cattle will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office, Old Stourbridge Cafeteria Meeting Room, 648 Park St., Honesdale, Pa.

Jim Turner, beef cattle nutritionist with Hubbard Feeds Inc., will discuss mineral supplementation for beef cow herds.

Moss Boone of Ridley Block and Hubbard Feeds Inc., will discuss mineral and supplement delivery systems, highlighting the use of blocks of mineral supplements to provide nutrients to a beef cow herd, dairy cows, dairy replacement heifers, beef stocker or beef feeder cattle, and dairy dry cows.
