Lycoming County, Pa., has announced the availability of verified nutrient credits generated in the Susquehanna River Basin for the compliance year ending Sept. 30, 2013.
Available for sale are 18,105 nitrogen credits and 233 phosphorus credits generated by best management practices implemented on 25 farms in Lycoming County. Interested parties may bid on any portion of the credits.
All credits have been certified and verified by the state Department of Environmental Protection and can be quickly registered to the buyer’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit during the current compliance year.
