Lecture to Focus on Urban Agriculture

CARLISLE, Pa. — Dickinson College will host “Farming By Design: Cleantech Urban Agriculture,” a free lecture on the future of sustainable agriculture, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Stern Center, Great Room, West Louther Street, Carlisle.

Jordan Motzkin, CEO and co-founder of Big Box Farms will discuss entrepreneurship, technology and the future of sustainable urban agriculture.

Big Box Farms is a New York-based startup that developed a breakthrough technology for producing fresher, safer and nutritious produce. The company began at the College of the Atlantic Sustainable Venture Incubator and received funding from the National Science Foundation and USDA.
