Landscape Workshops Planned for March

Penn State Extension will hold two landscape workshops in northeastern Pennsylvania in March.

Pruning for Professionals will be 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Keystone College in LaPlume, Pa.

The morning indoor lecture will be followed by an afternoon hands-on session pruning trees and shrubs on the college’s campus. Cost is $35, which includes lunch. Registration deadline is March 1.

Maintaining a Healthy Landscape will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke, Pa.

The conference will offer pesticide applicator update credits and focus on topics such as insects and diseases of woody ornamentals, weed control strategies, new plant health care products, and new and underutilized perennials for landscape use.

Cost is $35. Registration deadline is March 11.
