Extension to Teach Farm, Food Business Planning

YORK, Pa. — “Your Future in Focus” is an eight-evening Penn State Extension workshop series designed to teach farmers and food business owners the necessary steps of setting goals and objectives for their enterprise by drafting a written plan.

Guest speakers, presentations and the curriculum will focus exclusively on agricultural and food businesses and the opportunities and risks that these types of ventures bring.

This program will be co-sponsored by Horn Farm Center, and sessions will be held in its farmhouse at 4945 Horn Road in York on Monday nights from Jan. 14-March 11.

Topics will include goal setting, marketing, human resources, legal issues/regulations and finances.
