Extension to Hold Class on Soils for New Farmers

LEBANON, Pa. — Penn State Extension will hold a class 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday, March 21-22, at the Lebanon County Extension Center, 2120 Cornwall Road, Lebanon.

Designed for new farmers, the course will provide in-depth information on how soil texture, biology and nutrient availability affect growth and productivity, along with options producers can use to increase soil health and plant productivity.

Registration is required by March 11. Cost is $75, which includes lunch. Register by Feb. 28 to get a free soil test kit.
