Mid-Atlantic crop producers will be traveling through the nation’s heartland, July 22-28, on an intensive crop and equipment tour featuring the highlight destination “AgPhD Field Day” at the Hefty Brothers Farm near Baltic, S.D., where they will be able to talk with farmers from all over the U.S. and Canada.

Other tour stops will include Monsanto’s Monmouth, Ill., research and demonstration facility; River Gulf Grain Co., which moves grain on the Mississippi River; John Deere Harvester Works; Kinze Manufacturing; Agco’s Intivity Center; Lincolnway Energy ethanol refinery; Farmall-Land USA; Oak Lane Hutterite Colony; Fair Oaks Farms, which has 32,000 dairy cows; Legacy Farms, a 2,700 sow/farrowing showcase operation; and the Dickenson Cattle Co., which runs more than 1,100 Longhorn cattle on 5,000 acres of reclaimed coal land.
